Hitlantis is an indie music discovery service that connects music lovers with independent bands and artists via a proprietary technology and a visual, game-like browsing platform. The company offers its service on iPad and iPhone and plans to launch an Android version by the end of summer. Hitlantis has launched a localized version for South Korea and says other Asian markets are coming soon. The company closed a $1.5m angel funding round to accelerate product development and expansion in key markets. Investors include senior Nokia executives and a mix of institutional and private backers. The service was co-founded by VP Timo Poijarvi.
