Led by CEO John Cleland, the company operates more than 200 stores across the UK and Ireland and employs over 2,000 technology experts. Customers can purchase products in-store, by phone, online or through a catalog. In 2013 Maplin launched a Click & Collect service allowing online orders to be picked up in-store within 30 minutes. The company recently raised £5m and intends to use the funds to increase sales, broaden its product range and drive innovation.
