WiredScore operates the WiredScore and SmartScore certification and education programs that rate digital connectivity and smart building technology. The company helps landlords, developers, and occupants assess and promote buildings’ digital infrastructure and smart capabilities. Its offerings include certification services and an Accredited Professionals Program that currently includes over 650 professionals from more than 275 companies. WiredScore has certified over 800 million square feet of commercial and residential space, impacting roughly 8 million people across 27 countries, and recently expanded into 13 new countries with a Singapore office. The company has entered the multifamily market with WiredScore Home to bring greater connectivity transparency to residential buildings. Over the next 24 months it plans to expand its geographic footprint across North America and APAC as it pursues a goal of enabling one billion people to live and work in connected, smart buildings over the next decade. WiredScore operates Wired Certification, an internationally recognized rating system that assesses the infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity of commercial real estate buildings. The certification provides transparency to tenants and gives landlords insights to improve and future‑proof building connectivity. The company says it works with more than 450 landlords and developers and that nearly 450 million square feet of office space is committed to Wired Certification. According to the release, 1,700 buildings are committed to certification and roughly 4 million people work in Wired Certified buildings across North America and Europe. In the first three quarters of 2018 WiredScore expanded into eight new cities and recorded a 45% uptake in certified buildings. WiredScore launched Wired Certification in 2013 and, following recent investment activity, plans to expand geographically and vertically into new product and service areas supported by the Series A financing. WiredScore operates Wired Certification, a standard that evaluates and rates technological infrastructure and internet connectivity in commercial buildings. The company launched Wired Certification in 2013 in partnership with Mayor Bloomberg and the City of New York and has certified more than 1,000 buildings totaling over 350 million square feet globally. Iconic properties such as the Empire State Building, Chicago’s Willis Tower, and The Shard in London hold Wired Certification. Tenants use the Wired Certification seal to verify that buildings provide best-in-class connectivity infrastructure. WiredScore has expanded operations to the United Kingdom, France and Germany, and plans to enter Canada soon. The company says the new investment capitalizes WiredScore for continued rapid growth and market expansion.
