Its content is screened, vetted and curated from acclaimed experts and heads of best-in-class institutions. The product uses a technology-led approach to engagement, training and communication and reports industry-leading utilization metrics. The platform covers preventative health, mental health (including depression, anxiety, addiction, isolation and suicide), marital and relationship advice, parenting and eldercare. Founded in 2004 and based in Toronto, LifeSpeak has served hundreds of North American companies across 25 industries as well as public sector clients. The company recently secured new capital to accelerate its global growth trajectory amid rising demand for remote mental-health solutions during the COVID-19 era.

Its platform is used by software developers, book publishers, digital resource vendors and academic institutions to ensure secure delivery of digital products to eligible users. In September 2020 the company raised $7.6M in equity financing. The round was led by Roynat Equity Partners. Kivuto intends to use the funds to grow and expand its international client base and to further advance the capabilities of its solutions. The company focuses on secure distribution and management of academic digital resources.
