    Kineto Wireless is a Milpitas, CA-based supplier of smart offload solutions for smartphones. Its solutions enable mobile operators to use existing Wi‑Fi in subscribers' homes and offices to offload mobile voice and data services, improve mobile coverage, and provide competitive mobile VoIP services. The company also offers technology to enable voice over LTE. Kineto's customers and partners include AudioCodes, Cisco, GENBAND, HTC, Juniper Networks, LG Electronics, Motorola, NEC, Orange, Qualcomm, RIM, Samsung and T-Mobile. According to a regulatory filing it recently raised $3m in a financing composed of debt and equity. Investors disclosed in the filing include Venrock, Seapoint Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures. Kineto Wireless develops software that enables mobile phones to operate on both cellular and Wi‑Fi networks. The company is advancing wireless base station (femtocell) technology aimed at expanding home broadband coverage. It is developing new 3G and 4G femtocells that would connect to customers’ existing broadband service to provide home-zone coverage and bridge gaps between coverage areas. Kineto raised $15.5 million in a fourth-round financing to advance that femtocell technology. Investors in the round included Motorola, Oak Investment Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures, Venrock, Seapoint Ventures and InterDigital Communications. Milpitas, California-based Kineto has previously received funding from the 3i Group, Mitsui & Co. and Storm Ventures.
