  • Cosmic Robotics

    Led · Safe · Jul 2026

Cosmic Robotics' flagship platform, Cosmic-1A, uses AI, stereo vision and autonomous navigation to handle and install large-format solar panels. The company says its systems can reduce labor costs and more than double deployment throughput. Its robotic systems are already deployed on live job sites in the US solar market. Cosmic reported a loss of $1.8 million and net assets of $1.5 million for the year ended December 31, 2025. The company is scheduled to participate in Y Combinator's Summer 2026 cohort. As an early-stage commercial operator, Cosmic faces risks tied to broader adoption timing despite growing investor interest in solar installation automation.

  • Fieldwork Robotics

    Led · Seed · Jun 2026

Fieldwork Robotics develops autonomous robots for harvesting raspberries and is transitioning from technology validation to commercial deployments. The company plans to deploy production robots via a two-year harvesting-as-a-service program in Norfolk with Place UK and conduct trials at Littywood Farm to assess operational needs. Management expects to scale to multi-robot fleets by 2027, subject to trial outcomes. Funding secured in this round and grants will be used to accelerate farm adoption and reduce reliance on seasonal labor while improving productivity. Fieldwork previously completed a £1.5 million seed round in 2023 that supported development and validation of its robotics and AI systems. The company has also obtained grant support from Innovate UK through the Farm ADOPT program, with related project activities due to begin in June 2026.

  • Clean Food Group

    Participated · Equity · Aug 2023

Clean Food Group develops and manufactures functional oils and fats via its proprietary CLEAN OilCell™ fermentation platform, producing CLEAN Oil™ and CLEAN Fat™ from food waste feedstocks using scalable yeast strains. Founded in 2022 after eight years of research, CFG has validated its manufacturing process at scale and acquired a one million-litre fermentation facility in Knowsley, Liverpool in 2025. Its CleanOil™ 25 product received approval for use as a cosmetics ingredient in the UK, US and Europe in 2025. The company has strategic and industrial collaborations with leading FMCG and ingredients manufacturers, including Döhler Group, and reports a strong demand pipeline. The recent £4.5 million investment plus a £700,000 Innovate UK grant are intended to fund completion of the Knowsley scale-up, expand capacity and accelerate commercialisation of its products.
