- Smycles
Led · Seed · Mar 2026
Smycles develops a three-stage software platform that first captures employee skills and project histories (profiling), then extracts insights to map potential and skill gaps (talent mining), and finally recommends high-performing team combinations (team mining). The product is being extended with Agentic AI—digital agents that participate alongside humans in hybrid teams and whose suitability and transparency the company also evaluates. A core differentiator is the system’s ability to quantify soft skills such as communication, empathy and trust, treating them as measurable inputs to team formation. Co-founders Bernhard and Martin Zünkeler combine large-enterprise consulting experience with serial entrepreneurship. Near-term plans include integrating and benchmarking AI agents, refining soft-skill analytics, and accelerating go-to-market efforts. Financially, the company has raised €2 million in seed funding to fuel product development and early customer acquisition. No other operating metrics have been disclosed.

Shop.co offers a patent-pending universal cart and checkout browser extension that lets shoppers in the US add items from any online retailer to a single unified cart. The extension enables checkout across multiple stores at once, avoids registration and login steps, and automatically applies coupons when available. Co-founded by Jay Habib and Manuel Schoebel, the company opened its German office in February 2015 and expanded to the United States a year later to prepare for a US market product launch. Shop.co closed a $7M seed round and is now valued at $27M. The product is positioned as a solution to streamline online shopping and reduce checkout friction. The company lists Düsseldorf, Germany and San Francisco, CA as bases. Shop.Co offers a browser-extension personal Buy Button that uses AI to complete purchases on any retail website without prior retailer integration. The product provides a universal cart for comparison-shopping, a global dashboard that collects receipts and store communications, and an inbox that reduces spam by centralizing order information. Payments, addresses, and preferences are stored in 128 AES‑encrypted servers and transactions are executed via end-to-end encrypted communications. The extension is available free for Chrome during public beta, with Firefox, Safari and mobile browser versions planned soon. Features include one-click buying, automatic coupon application, and the ability to connect with Amazon to preserve Prime benefits. Financially, Shop.Co has just secured additional seed funding as it launches its public beta.
- Coramaze Technologies
Participated · Series A · Sep 2015
coramaze technologies is a Munich-based medical device company founded in 2013 by CEO Laura Figulla that is developing the mitramaze® valve repair system. The mitramaze system is a novel transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVRep) concept intended to treat inoperable patients with severe functional mitral regurgitation (fMR). fMR prevents the mitral valve from sealing due to left ventricular enlargement, causing dyspnea, impaired exercise tolerance and increased mortality; many patients are excluded from surgical options. coramaze closed a €4.5m (US$5.15m) Series A to advance its implant design toward clinical testing. Proceeds will fund a first-in-human clinical investigational study in 2016 and a subsequent feasibility trial to support European CE approval. coramaze technologies GmbH is developing the mitramaze® valve repair system for minimally invasive treatment of mitral regurgitation. The company is advancing a device designed for atraumatic insertion and stable intraventricular positioning, and the technology may also be applicable to tricuspid regurgitation and other structural heart valve diseases. coramaze plans to use the newly raised funds to advance pre-clinical development of mitramaze® for patient segments that cannot undergo standard cardiac surgery. Founded in 2013 as a spin‑off from the Western German Heart Center, the company is led by CEO Dr. Laura Figulla and Prof. Dr. Till Neumann and is based in Essen, Germany. The mitramaze® technology was developed through a research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology’s EXIST research transfer program. Financially, coramaze raised €1m in the reported funding round.
