ConsCent is a content-monetisation platform that enables pay-per-use access to premium articles and tools for publishers. It supplies technology to publishers including India Today Group, Outlook India Group, MidDay, Amar Ujala, EPIC On, Tinkle Comics and New Indian Express. Price per article is set by media houses and ConsCent emphasises reducing friction for users while ensuring creators capture value. The company began commercial operations in April 2021 and claims to have acquired 5 lakh users. ConsCent plans to hire technology talent, expand sales and marketing, invest in AI/ML to build in-house monetisation tools, and launch more than 15 new products and features over the next 12 months. The startup is targeting deeper penetration in the Indian subcontinent and expansion beyond India as more publishers put content behind paywalls.
