- OneCell Diagnostics
Participated · Series A · Nov 2024
OneCell Diagnostics develops an in-house blood-based biopsy test (OncoIndx Ikon) that captures circulating tumor cells from a 10 ml blood draw and combines CTC DNA with RNA and cell-surface protein testing in a True-Single-Cell-Multi-omics workflow. It uses a proprietary antibody-coated glass bead to filter CTCs and applies AI/ML via its iCare app to help oncologists interpret results. The company provides pan-cancer analysis for solid tumors and deliberately targets recurrence patients rather than first-time diagnoses because of regulatory constraints in the U.S. OneCell has served nearly 10,000 patients in India, works with major Indian hospitals and academic partners, and says its offering is roughly one-fifth the price of competitors. The startup has offices in Mumbai, a lab in Pune, a Silicon Valley R&D presence and a headcount of about 144 (120 in India and 24 in the U.S.). It plans to use its India data and analytics to launch and scale in the U.S., projecting outreach to over 1,000 oncologists and one million patients in the near term. Financially, it recently closed a $16 million Series A to fund U.S. expansion and further scaling in India.
