15th Floor, 33 Cavendish Square, London, England, W1G 0PW, United Kingdom
Overview
STAR is an independent investment fund manager with over €1 billion of equity funds under management. It was established in 2000 to acquire and develop capital assets and capital asset-based businesses, either independently or in partnership with existing owners/industry partners. We consider a wide range of opportunities including standard MBO/MBI deals (whole businesses or divisions). However, the main focus of STAR's Strategy is to act as a capital partner. Based on our in-depth expertise we have developed a Capital Outsourcing solution that addresses the many issues faced by capital-intensive companies. STAR is looking for the opportunity to invest in capital-intensive corporate activity that has: the ability to generate long-term stable cash flows; a location in Western Europe; an enterprise value in the range of €50 million to €1 billion; and a strategic position. Although we will look at opportunities in most sectors, our key Target Sectors include oil & gas, transport, utilities, telecommunications and healthcare. In return STAR can offer access to substantial capital, an experienced investment team supported by specialist industry advisors, a customised approach to structuring transactions to meet your requirements and a rapid response. We are currently investing our second fund and, supported by co-investment from our partners, we can complete deals with enterprise values up to €1 billion

MYFLEXBOX is an open smart locker network provider that installs, runs, and maintains Austria’s largest open-access network of parcel lockers. Founded in 2018 by Jonathan Grothaus, Peter Klima and Lukas Wieser and based in Salzburg, the company has established over 360 facilities serving express logistics firms, e-commerce companies, and end users. Its offering combines automated parcel lockers (APMs) with self-developed software to provide last-mile logistics services that reduce CO2 emissions and improve operational effectiveness. The company plans to use new capital to scale into new markets—especially Germany—expand its workforce, and deepen partnerships with parcel and logistics providers. MYFLEXBOX aims to grow its parcel stations to 4,000 by the end of 2025. The founders, Salzburg AG, and STAR Capital intend to pursue an ambitious organic growth strategy to build a leading open APM network accessible to logistics, e-commerce and end users.
