Cytur formerly known as Cyter provides maritime-focused cybersecurity technologies including cyber-risk analysis, naval cyber-threat modeling, asset identification, security verification and compliance documentation across the ship design, construction and operation lifecycle. The company has commercial traction, having won cybersecurity contracts for dozens of merchant vessels via an international shipping customer and a partnership with Rakuten Maritime. Its technology has earned government recognitions—selected as an innovative prototype by the Public Procurement Service and named a product of excellence by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA—and it participated in the Information Security Unicorn incubation program. Cyter is expanding its addressable market beyond commercial shipping into warships, defense and naval MRO cybersecurity. The company plans to use proceeds from its 5.2 billion won Series A to hire specialized staff, improve threat modeling and ship security verification solutions, grow its naval MRO business and enter overseas markets including the U.S., Japan and Singapore. Cyter has also been active in international engagement, presenting its naval cyber-threat modeling technology at a maritime cybersecurity summit in Florida.
