memox operates meeting and conference room spaces across the DACH region, with 31 spaces at six venues in Zurich, Basel and Frankfurt. Its core product is flexible office space and services for meetings and conferences. The company has raised external capital to accelerate expansion and is preparing further market entries in Germany and Switzerland. memox recently completed a capital raise to finance that growth and is planning a second closing to support additional market entries. The funding and expansion push respond to current trends in the world of work and the real estate environment. CEO Dr. Dirk Reiner said the company is ideally positioned to conquer the market. memox develops plug-and-play workshop and meeting spaces, supplying functional equipment and furniture alongside services such as booking support, catering coordination, event programming and workshop moderation. Founded in 2017, the Zurich startup expanded its offering beyond hardware to a full-service package that appeals to large banks and software companies. Demand rose sharply after Covid restrictions eased and with the New Work and hybrid work trend; memox logged about 1,000 bookings in the second half of 2022. The company has completed a CHF1.5 million pre-financing round from existing and new investors. The fresh capital is earmarked for further expansion and software development, with new openings planned in Basel and Germany next year. memox says it will set up spaces in Frankfurt, Berlin and Hamburg, and a Series A financing round has already been launched.
