4K Garden is a Beijing-based streaming partner of Alibaba Group and Sony that operates as China’s largest super high-definition video content platform. The company produces original 4K content from a 600-square-meter studio and owns a super-HD live streaming truck purchased from Sony. It recently established China’s first domestic 4K television channel and plans to introduce live streaming in cinemas. 4K Garden will use new funding to upgrade systems for customized 4K production across filming, editing, and rendering, expand its content library, and hire new skilled professionals. The firm expects to open a new 1,600-square-meter production facility in May. Revenues come mainly from copyright operations, program production, and content marketing, and the company is set to break even this year for the first time.
