The label’s profile rose substantially following its producers’ work on the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack, whose lead single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and whose film became Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time and won Academy Awards and Golden Globes. Financially, the company has secured a Series B of ~120 billion won (~$80M) at an implied valuation of about 1 trillion won (~$660M). The company is pursuing a strategy to drive the "New Music Economy" in Thailand and expand artists and content across Asia and globally. Its roadmap emphasizes music and digital business growth, fandom-economy initiatives, co-productions, concerts and festivals, and platform experience improvements. The strategic partnership with Tencent Music Entertainment Group and Tencent is intended to bring world‑class production resources, technology, and user‑insight capabilities. Financially, the deal values GMM Music at US$700 million after the strategic investment. The company is using the partnership to solidify a spin‑off plan and to support ambitions for an IPO and sustainable growth.

Pex builds an Attribution Engine it describes as the licensing infrastructure for the internet, bringing together rightsholders, creators, big digital platforms and enforcement parties. The platform comprises six modules: an asset registry, content identification, a licensing system, dispute resolution, payments and data/reporting. CEO and founder Rasty Turek says the system is used by most of the largest rightsholders while remaining accessible to individual creators and struggling musicians. Pex generates revenue from licensing deals and positions itself as a neutral intermediary to balance the needs of different users. The company acquired music rights startup Dubset last year and says the new funding will allow it to continue scaling the Attribution Engine. Pex was founded in 2014.
