For virtual members, The Food Loft provides access to our Mentor Network. The network is a group of 30+ business leaders who can address issues ranging from food production, sales, marketing and distribution to ecommerce, packaging design, financing, regulation and more. The Food Loft also makes early-stage investments in foodtech companies across the US. While the Food Loft coworking space is separate from the investment program, we are actively seeking out skilled founder teams that are creating unique, tech-enabled products and software for B2C and B2B business models with a food focus. If you have a potential investment idea, please reach out to Adam at adam(at)thefoodloft(dot)com

Fisherman is a Boston-based startup founded by Ameet Kallarackal and Nick Loeper that automatically builds and maintains business websites within minutes. The company operates a "Do It For You" automation model that lets Fisherman control client sites, run bulk updates, and integrate with data partners while offering a simple content editor and dedicated support. Fisherman began with a restaurant beachhead where it demonstrated high ROI, and the team says the technology is architected to work across verticals with plans to launch solutions for other types of businesses soon. Its target market includes small businesses that sell the majority of their products or services in person—restaurants, retail, plumbers, accountants, contractors, and similar independents. The company positions its product as lowering technical and maintenance barriers for owners who historically relied on foot traffic and word of mouth, a need that COVID-19 has accelerated. Fisherman emphasizes education and trust-building with customers while using automation to deliver publish-ready websites quickly.
