  • Osmo Studio

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Osmo Studio builds an end-to-end editable video platform that generates animation as editable code, with control over timeline, layers, vectors, motion, and brand rules. The product accepts inputs such as Figma files, pasted frontend code, or reference videos and produces animations that teams can edit programmatically. Osmo originated as a software and film studio and, in the seven months before launch, the team produced over 50 films and commercials for clients including Cognition, Parallel Web Systems, and Physical Intelligence. Early customers and teams at companies like Webflow, Resend, Rho, and Gumloop are already using the platform to ship work. The company publicly launched alongside its seed raise and disclosed a $5 million seed financing led by Bain Capital Ventures. The founders highlighted in the launch are Chris He, Oleksandr Shevenionov, Will Hoppin, and Basil Alfaro.

  • TrueMeter

    Participated · Seed · Sep 2025

TrueMeter offers an AI energy-savings platform that combines automated rate optimization, consolidated billing, predictive analytics and real-time operational intelligence for restaurants, retailers and hospitality chains. The platform automates instant switching to lower electricity rates, collective gas procurement, rate-plan optimization and automated utility bill auditing, and it can detect energy theft and equipment inefficiencies via anomaly detection. TrueMeter delivers 7–15% savings with zero upfront investment and has reported $3M+ in customer savings while processing millions in gross energy spending. Since launching in March 2024 the company has grown to serve over 500 business locations, including customers such as Yoshinoya, Fresh Direct, Misfits Markets and Local Kitchens. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering team, accelerate customer acquisition, and further enhance its AI-powered optimization platform. TrueMeter was founded in 2023 by Stanford graduates Ali Sarilgan and Dr. Ozge Islegen-Wojdyla and is based in San Francisco.

  • Cascading AI

    Participated · Seed · Feb 2024

Casca is an AI-native loan origination platform that accelerates the loan application and origination process using responsible AI. Its platform automates commercial loans and claims to fund loans up to 10× faster than other fintechs and 30× faster than industry averages. Flagship customers include Live Oak Bank, Huntington National Bank, and Bankwell Bank, and several of those customers invested in the round. Casca will use the funding to scale operations, expand its team, and accelerate go-to-market to make the platform accessible to additional financial institutions. The company was founded in 2023 by banking IT experts and Stanford AI researchers and is based in San Francisco. To date Casca has raised $33 million. Cascading AI is a fintech software company that builds AI-native solutions to help banks automate manual processes in legacy systems. Its flagship product, Casca, is described as the first AI-native Loan Origination System and streamlines tasks like document collection, account setup, and compliance for commercial loan origination. The company uses artificial intelligence to reduce manual effort for banks, credit unions, and non-bank lenders. Founded in 2023 and based in San Francisco, Cascading AI plans to expand its team of AI and machine learning engineers. The startup will use funding to accelerate Casca's development, enhance AI capabilities and compliance features, and onboard a select group of new banks to scale operations. Cascading AI raised $3.9M in a February 2024 pre-seed round to support these initiatives.

  • Bandana

    Participated · Seed · Sep 2023

Bandana operates a website focused on helping hourly-wage workers find better jobs closer to home, showing pay ranges, estimated take-home pay after taxes, benefits, and map locations. The site lists between 18,000 and 25,000 jobs on any given day and has attracted more than 150,000 New York City job seekers since launch, over 130,000 of them organically. The company estimates 10,000–15,000 people have found jobs through the platform and acquires users for roughly 1.5 cents each via content marketing on TikTok and Instagram (one video garnered over 12 million views). Bandana has begun monetization with sponsored posts but has primarily focused on user growth to date. The new funding will support geographic expansion beyond NYC into nearby New Jersey, Long Island and areas north of the Bronx, and plans to launch in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area by Q1 2025, along with broader subway, bus-station and billboard advertising. Future product plans include a generative AI search tool to match job seekers by description, and eventual expansion into training, certifications and financial literacy. Financially, the company announced an $8.5M investment this round, bringing total funding to $12.3M. Bandana is building a two-sided marketplace that helps hourly wage workers find jobs that pay above minimum wage, offer benefits like health insurance and paid time off, and include a job location to keep opportunities reasonably close to home. The platform aggregates employer postings by connecting to major employers' job-posting websites and pulling their listings into Bandana. The company is concentrating initially on jobs in the New York City area. Founders Timothy Makalinao (CEO), Caleb Lee (COO) and Larry Zhang (CTO) launched the company last year and operate with a lean team of six employees. Early beta traction saw 30,000 people find the initial version of the site without advertising. Bandana plans to use its seed capital to keep the site free for about a year to attract users, then charge employers for job postings. Longer-term plans include geographic expansion, worker certifications to enable career growth, and fintech features to help workers with savings and money management.
