Repair Biotechnologies is developing a pipeline of therapies focused on regenerating the thymus, treating cancer, and reversing atherosclerosis. The company aims to improve human healthspan by addressing underlying causes of aging and age-related diseases. Founded in 2018 by Reason (CEO) and Bill Cherman (Chairman), the company is based in Syracuse, N.Y. Repair is advancing programs in preclinical development. In July 2019 it raised $2.15M in seed funding to accelerate that preclinical work. The financing is intended to support the company’s near-term R&D and development milestones.

Klotho Therapeutics is commercializing a patent-pending version of the protein/hormone Klotho, which the company says can positively influence longevity, cognition and kidney function and may slow progression of diabetes and cancer. The company holds worldwide patents pending on modified and recombinant Klotho that can be manufactured using standard cell culture technology. KTI operates virtually and is led by founder and CEO Jim Plante. The company intends to use new funds to advance Klotho development for kidney disease, scale up manufacturing, conduct first-in-human studies and prepare an IND application for the FDA. The program builds upon more than $100 million invested in Klotho-related academic research demonstrating the protein's effects on kidney function, cognition, fibrosis, cancer and longevity. Current financing activity includes a recently announced Series A first closing.
