- Precede Biosciences
Participated · Series B · Jan 2026
Precede Biosciences is a precision diagnostics and data company that has built a proprietary, automated assay capable of extracting high-resolution, genome-wide transcriptional information from a single blood draw. The platform integrates this assay with advanced machine-learning analytics, enabling researchers and clinicians to profile target expression and pathway activity—critical biomarkers for drug-, radio- and immune-conjugates and other targeted therapies. By providing a multiplex, minimally invasive alternative to tissue biopsies, the company aims to accelerate drug development and ensure patients receive therapies precisely matched to their disease biology. Current commercial traction is described as “rapidly growing,” driven by partnerships with developers of next-generation precision medicines. The fresh financing brings Precede Bio’s total new capital to $83.5 million, giving the company resources to scale its platform and meet rising demand. An expanded investor base with deep diagnostics-commercialization expertise is expected to support health-system adoption and long-term growth.
- Valora Therapeutics
Led · Seed · Nov 2024
Valora Therapeutics is developing the AbLec (Antibody-Lectin chimera) platform to modulate glyco-immune checkpoints by precisely targeting specific sugar molecules on cells. The company aims to generate first-in-class and best-in-class therapeutics across oncology, autoimmune diseases, and other indications. AbLec technology is exclusively licensed from Stanford and builds on work from Dr. Carolyn Bertozzi and Dr. Jessica Stark, who are scientific founders and advisors to Valora. The $30 million seed financing will fund R&D to validate mechanisms of action and advance lead molecules into preclinical development. Valora has established R&D operations at the Avalon BioVentures Accelerator in San Diego, California, and plans to accelerate optimization of the AbLec platform toward the clinic. The company is led by CEO Miguel Garcia-Guzman, Ph.D., and emphasized that investor support will accelerate its development programs.
- NanoMosaic
Participated · Series A · Dec 2021
NanoMosaic develops nanoneedle-based MosaicNeedles™ and the Tessie™ platform for protein detection, quantification, and multi-omics analysis on a single chip. The technology enables rapid, end-user customization of assays for proteomic and nucleic acid content and aims to support biomarker discovery and validation. The company has installed Tessie™ systems at Massachusetts General Hospital and the New York Stem Cell Foundation. MGH is developing and validating a diagnostic test for post-operative delirium on Tessie™ and has submitted the work for peer-reviewed publication. NanoMosaic targets a commercial launch of the Tessie™ proteomic and multi-omics platform in Q1 2022. The company is led by co-founder and interim CEO John Boyce.
