Unitea is an engage-to-earn music platform that deepens connections between artists, brands, and fans through an in-app economy. Users create content with music and branded filters to earn digital tokens called Karma, which can be redeemed for rewards ranging from custom digital assets to concert tickets and meet-and-greets. Since its pre-seed round began in 2020, the company has recorded over 2,000 reward activations and has activated at 42 music festivals including Breakaway, Gem & Jam, and Dirtybird Campout. Unitea has partnered with Procter & Gamble on engage-to-earn campaigns and says its platform produces actionable engagement data for artists and brands. The company plans to use the newly raised funds to expand the capabilities of its platform within the music industry and beyond, and aims to act as a utility and community-building platform for Web3 music collectives such as Dirtybird Flight Club, Dippies and Gay Aliens Society. Its board includes music figures Pitbull (Armando Perez) and Claude VonStroke (Barclay Crenshaw).
