  • Initiativ

    Participated · Equity · Oct 2025

Initiativ is developing the first industrial “neo-bourse,” a digital platform where companies can buy and sell EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) quotas without relying on brokers or traders. Its infrastructure blends blockchain, AI-driven price forecasting and sovereign cloud architecture to provide public pricing, instant execution and full traceability. Founded in 2025 by Isaure Courcenet, Nicolas Negrilic and Nicolas Bigotte, the startup targets a €1 trillion annual carbon market that will widen to buildings and road transport in 2027. The company is working toward an ACPR-AMF investment-firm licence, after which several maritime, aviation, energy groups and European financial institutions plan to join. Future product expansion is expected to cover other energy commodities and raw materials, supporting a broader climate-focused financial ecosystem. Initiativ has been accelerated by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and ZEBOX, and it recently won the Start-up World Cup Aix-en-Provence, gaining a spot in the San Francisco finals. The fresh capital will help complete the decentralized exchange, secure regulatory approval and back the commercial launch. Financial metrics such as revenue or active users have not yet been disclosed.

  • Klaimy

Klaimy is an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates processing of medical and administrative documents for the insurance industry. The platform helps insurers identify medical risk factors, flag inconsistencies, and support underwriting and claims decisions. It leverages optical character recognition, machine learning, and natural language processing to structure unstructured data, verify document completeness, and enrich data for fraud detection. Founded in 2023 by Amira Nakouri, Yazid Hadni, and Juan Barragan and based in Paris, the company plans to scale engineering and data-science teams, expand product capabilities, and accelerate its commercial rollout across Europe. In April 2025 Klaimy raised €1.2M in a pre-seed round led by Insurtech Gateway with participation from U-Investors, Tenity, and strategic angel investors with insurance experience. Insurtech Gateway is positioned to provide underwriting capacity, regulatory support, seed capital, and expert guidance to support Klaimy's commercialization.
