KOREC operates a web platform launched in 2021 to connect Japanese companies with Korean job seekers, building on recruitment support that began after its 2019 founding. The service has registered roughly 7,000 Korean job seekers and over 400 client companies. KOREC runs a Japan-focused placement service and maintains a Japan-job free space in Seoul, with plans to open an additional free space in Busan. The company says it will use newly raised funds to expand platform system functionality, develop new services, invest in marketing, and hire personnel. Product improvements include strengthened matching support between Japanese companies and Korean talent and UI/UX upgrades to the platform. KOREC is operated by B-WELL International, headquartered in Osaka and established in July 2019.

Illumigyn developed the Gynescope System, an FDA-cleared remote gynecological imaging platform that digitally documents the cervix, vagina and external genitalia. The HIPAA-compliant system automatically uploads and securely stores high-resolution images to the cloud, enabling remote specialist review and giving women access to their scans and doctors’ recommendations. Illumigyn says its high-resolution magnification can produce more accurate smear tests than traditional exams and is designed to be handled by trained caregivers such as OB/GYNs, general practitioners, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The company announced it closed $33 million in funding from investors including Yozma Group Korea and Ubicom Holdings Japan, with other investors not disclosed. Proceeds will be used to ramp up production, support research and development toward a comprehensive lower genital tract examination solution, and to execute distribution agreements and new global partnerships. Illumigyn said it is expanding into the United States, United Arab Emirates, India, Singapore and South Korea starting this month and is targeting women worldwide aged 15 and older.
