The company builds technology that reconciles, verifies and distributes accurate rights information so songwriters, publishers and other rightsholders are correctly credited and paid. Its leadership team includes industry veterans such as Hipgnosis co-founder Björn Lindvall and former YouTube publishing engineering head Greg Quillard, and it has just hired former Spotify executive Jules Parker as chief business officer. The firm is headquartered in New York and also counts alumni from YouTube, Meta, Gracenote and Google among its staff. While no operating metrics or revenue figures were disclosed, the company’s latest capital injection will be used to expand its product and partnerships. MusicInfra ultimately hopes to become the backbone infrastructure for accurate rights data across the global music ecosystem.

    Cymbal is building a human readable blockchain explorer that lets users view the Ethereum blockchain and search the billions of on-chain events and activities, including holdings, transactions, and social media accounts. Led by CEO and co-founder Eric Feng, the company began by analyzing and processing more than a hundred million data points on the Ethereum blockchain. Cymbal AI currently surfaces metrics such as wallet portfolio rankings, how many people bought NFTs today, and the largest sale for a specific collection during a given week. The platform plans to add features to identify top purchasers of Ethereum each day and the other ERC-20 tokens they are buying. The company intends to use the $18.5M in funding to expand operations and its development efforts. Backers named in the round include First Round Capital, Solana Ventures, CAA Connect, Coinbase Ventures, Patron, GV, Acrew, and UTA Ventures.

    Rob’s Backstage Popcorn sells a flavor-forward savory popcorn originally formulated by Rob Garbowsky and officially entered the market in 2021. The core product is a sweet-and-salty popcorn described as between movie theater popcorn and kettle corn, packaged in 4 oz bags with 16 servings; all SKUs are plant-based, gluten-free and non-GMO. The brand has added new SKUs including a Classic Barbecue flavor (a collaboration with Kelly Clarkson) and an Indian Spice Mix honoring Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The company pursues a retail-first strategy and has pushed into roughly 8,000 stores within 12 months of launch. Management says the newly raised capital will support continued expansion across key national retail chains, including Walmart, and further product growth. The Naked Market, which co-launched the brand, uses an internal aggregator called “The Machine” to identify high-growth opportunities and accelerate market-ready product launches.

In 2021 Antenna more than doubled its client base, tripled its team, and quadrupled its revenue. Looking ahead, Antenna plans to model its market-level data onto clients’ CRM records to enable more personalized, privacy-compliant experiences. The company also plans to ramp up hiring to support product and commercial expansion.

The company’s screens aim to present digital art as the artist envisioned while reinforcing the authenticity of NFT ownership. Danvas was founded by Jeanne Anderson and Hernan Lopez, who bring experience from Saatchi Art and Wondery, respectively. The startup plans to continue R&D, support production of the displays, and bring the product to market with an impactful launch. Danvas announced a Spring 2022 launch and is accepting galleries and private collectors on a waitlist.
