VGV is a “micro” venture capital investment fund created to support high-growth, early-stage companies across the state of Ohio, with a preference for those in the Mahoning Valley. Formed in collaboration between five area organizations, VGV serves to aid in the growth of companies in their region and to relocate out-of-region companies to the Mahoning Valley. They leverage the industry expertise, personnel, facilities, talent network and operations of our investment team and partner organizations to produce strong companies and generate substantial returns for their investors.

MedPilot provides a patient financial engagement platform used by outpatient facilities, hospitals, revenue cycle management companies, and practice management systems. The platform combines millions of data points from clients' practice management systems with internally derived insights and analytics to personalize communication method, content, and payment options. Using machine learning, MedPilot continuously optimizes outreach strategies based on patient interactions and also provides administrative tools to track patients, manage experience, and monitor financial activity. The company is led by co-founder and CEO Jacob Myers and COO Nathan Spoden and is based in Cleveland, Ohio. MedPilot graduated in the latest class of the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator. It completed a $1.7M seed funding round to bolster the team and launch new functionality to further engage patients throughout their lifecycle. MedPilot provides a performance-analytics platform that gives healthcare providers insight into the most effective billing and collections outreach by tracking sent rate, open rate, click rate, and response time. MedPilot participated in Blueprint Health’s accelerator and is based in New York. The company raised $750,000 in a Seed round to support these plans.
