Soundreef S.p.A. develops the technology and content-management platform used to audit, collect and maximize royalties for music authors and publishers. Led by CEO Davide d’Atri, the company processes billions of transactions with a focus on improving data security and efficiency in the music industry. Its services are used by radio and TV broadcasters, digital service providers, live event organisers, theatres, cinemas, business establishments and music labels, which can obtain mandatory licenses for works managed by Soundreef. The group includes Soundreef Ltd (an Independent Management Entity listed in the UK Intellectual Property Office), Soundreef Media Service S.r.l. and Soundreef CZ s.r.o. Soundreef manages rights for over 31,000 authors and publishers in more than 40 countries, including 14,000 in Italy. The company is backed by investment companies VAM Investments S.p.A. and LVenture Group S.p.A. Soundreef operates a technology platform that enables music copyright owners—publishers, authors and artists—to securely provide, manage, track and audit royalties and to receive payments. The company manages over 150,000 songs worldwide. It raised €3.5m in equity funding to support its international expansion, with proceeds to be delivered in tranches. In conjunction with the funding, Soundreef acquired 100% of Soundreef Ltd, a UK-based copyright brokerage and Independent Management Entity. Soundreef Ltd, founded in 2011 and led by CEO Francesco Danieli, offers flagship products Soundreef In-store and Soundreef Live. The financing and acquisition are positioned to accelerate Soundreef's expansion over the next 12 months.

Genny Mobility produces Genny, a two-wheel self-balancing motor chair for the disabled that is controlled by an intelligent network of sensors. The company was founded in 2012 by inventor Paolo Badano and Claudio Poggio and is based in Lugano, Switzerland. It reported an expected turnover of €4m in 2014. Genny Mobility intends to use new funding to accelerate its international expansion. The product is designed to provide mobility for disabled users through sensor-driven balance and control. The company has positioned the funds to support growth beyond its domestic market.

PrivateGriffe is a Milan-based social fashion marketplace that facilitates buying and selling second-hand, high-quality fashion items for women, men and kids. Founded in 2012 by CEO Leonardo Cucchiarini and Maria Cecilia Andretta, the platform lets users open online boutiques and upload products including bags, shoes, clothes, jewels and accessories. When items sell, PrivateGriffe collects, inspects and delivers the items and then pays the seller. The company raised €2.7m in equity funding in October 2014 from backers including Ad4Ventures and private investors selected by Banca Esperia. It had previously raised €1.2m at the beginning of 2014. The new funds will be used to launch a TV campaign, develop the e-commerce platform, hire new people and expand the catalog. PrivateGriffe operates a social fashion marketplace that enables members to buy and resell bags, shoes, clothes, jewels and accessories. Members can share style opinions on the platform and opt to give a portion of revenues to charities. The company was founded in 2012 by CEO Leonardo Cucchiarini and Maria Cecilia Andretta and is based in Milan, Italy. It completed an equity funding round of €1.2m led by VAM Investments with participation from a Banca Esperia-selected club of private investors and AngeLab. The company intends to use the funds to hire new people and to expand its technology development and marketing efforts. Ennio Valerio Boccardi, founding partner at VAM Investments, will join as vice chairman of the board.
