Founded in 2022 by three engineers from TU Munich, Aampere operates a transactional platform for the secondary used-EV market that combines a self-learning pricing algorithm, a digital condition and history check, and Europe-wide dealer auctions. Sellers (both private and commercial) receive a purchase offer within 48 hours, and Aampere pays before arranging collection from the seller’s home. The company reports selling several thousand EVs per year, more than 25 employees, and revenue that grew fourfold over the past 12 months after a reported 60% annual growth rate for three years. Aampere has positioned itself closer to Auto1’s dealer-auction model rather than listing sites, and competes with other dedicated used-EV platforms. With the new funding, Aampere plans to expand its marketplace across more European markets and scale seller acquisition.
