  • Fabrication Bazar

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2024

Fabrication Bazar is an asset-light, tech-enabled manufacturing platform based in New Delhi that serves industrial steel product customers. It centralizes procurement, quality control and logistics to digitize the supply chain and optimize the highly unused capacity of 1.5 million+ MSME fabrication vendors in India. The company works with roughly 330+ fabrication vendors across India and serves a 400+ client base including large MNCs across EPC, manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, energy, petrochemicals, oil & gas, ethanol, food & beverage, packaging and metals. With proprietary manufacturing tech-driven processes, Fabrication Bazar improves production efficiency and reduces delivery time by splitting products into multiple parts and processing them simultaneously. Founded by CEO Dwaipayan Dutta and CTO Ankur Gupta, the company plans to use the new capital to expand geographically into the GCC and Southeast Asia and to hire leadership team members. Financially, Fabrication Bazar raised $3M in Pre-Seed funding led by Physis Capital, with participation from Japan-based ICMG and existing investor Inflection Point Ventures. Fabrication Bazar, founded in 2016 by co-founders Dwaipayan Dutta (Co-founder and CEO) and Mohit Garg (Co-founder and CSO), has developed a cloud fabrication concept and an end-to-end tracking platform using its own unique technological platform. The company follows an asset-lite model and offers manufacturing and engineering services enabled by its tracking platform. It raised over Rs 7 crore in a seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures. The funds will be used to expand the team, enhance technology, and scale operations into export markets. Fabrication Bazar plans to expand to the global market with a similar supply chain.
