- Sound Games
Participated · Seed · Jan 2026
Sound Games develops and publishes high-quality video games that follow a “pay once, play anywhere” model, letting customers access the same title across PC, console, and mobile without additional fees. Its first game, Go Ape Ship!, launches on February 18 and serves as a showcase for the studio’s cross-platform technology. The 12-person company was co-founded by Mike Schmid—former head of publishing at Rec Room and VP of growth at Backbone—along with Jacobo Abril and Sergio Abril, the founders of nada studio. Sound Games aims to avoid heavy in-game monetization, instead emphasizing replayability and premium game design. With fresh capital, the team plans to ship multiple original titles, enhance its cross-platform tech stack, and grow its development staff. The company has secured $6.5 million in seed funding to support these objectives. No revenue or user figures have been disclosed.
- Redactable
Participated · Seed · Dec 2023
Redactable is a web-based platform built to redact confidential documents from any browser. It leverages natural language processing and machine learning to auto-detect sensitive information and deliver secure redaction, document scrubbing, and AI-driven workflows. Led by founder and CEO Amanda Levay, the company launched its platform in July 2022. Redactable plans to use new funding to advance market reach, visibility, and operations. The company previously raised $1.3M in a pre-seed round that helped launch the product. The most recent financing is a $5.5M Seed round. Redactable offers a web-based, AI-driven redaction platform that uses natural language processing and machine learning to auto-detect and permanently redact sensitive information. The product is delivered as a SaaS application with no software download or plugins required, and it supports team collaboration on large redaction projects. It also removes metadata and issues Redaction Certificates to track who redacted each document and when. The company emphasizes permanent (not masked) redactions to prevent recovery of hidden data. Redactable launched its platform with support from venture investors and publicly announced the product in New York on July 26, 2022. The company raised $900k in pre-seed funding to support the product launch and early operations.
- Community
Participated · Equity · Apr 2023
Community provides a hyper-personalized conversational SMS product that gives customers unique 10-digit numbers to engage audiences free of social-algorithm interference, spam, and ads. The platform serves celebrities, musicians, creators, small businesses, enterprises and Fortune 500 clients, and has expanded into sports teams, entertainment companies, and music labels. Community reports strong engagement metrics—98% open rates within the first five minutes, 45% average click-through rates, and 30% average response rates. The product includes integrations with Salesforce, Shopify, Zapier, ActBlue and others to support enterprise workflows. Leadership changes have accompanied its enterprise push: Diankha Linear was named President and CEO after joining as COO, and Robert Wolf became Executive Chairman in mid-2022. The company also runs Community Cares to improve equitable access and plans to leverage generative AI enhancements expected later this year. Community operates a text-messaging platform that enables Leaders (people, businesses and brands with a 10-digit Community number) to have one-on-one conversations with Members at scale. Since launching in July 2019 the platform has facilitated more than 3 billion text messages and has welcomed over 26 million Members. The company reports strong engagement metrics, including 95% open rates and 60% clickthrough rates on Leader messages. Community says the new funding will support accelerated growth, expansion, and additional marketing and communications avenues via text messaging. The business emphasizes privacy and direct connection free from social algorithms, unlawful data sharing, ads, or shortcode spam. Community is headquartered in Santa Monica and operates as a fully-remote organization with more than 130 employees across the U.S. and EMEA. Community (formerly Shimmur) pivoted from a Reddit‑style app to a direct‑messaging text‑marketing platform that supplies clients with 10‑digit phone numbers to message fans. The company charges monthly or annual service fees for audience reach, segmentation and text marketing campaigns rather than relying on ads. Community is currently in private onboarding with companies and celebrities and has not completed a public launch. Founders Matthew Peltier and Josh Rosenheck relaunched the business after attracting support from entertainment investors. TechCrunch reports the startup has raised nearly $35 million in two convertible notes following a recapitalization earlier this year, and earlier as Shimmur it raised roughly $7 million from VCs. Sources told TechCrunch the company has been valued at upwards of $200 million, though Community’s spokesperson said there is no valuation attached because of the nature of the recap and convertible notes.
- FilmHedge
Led · Series A · Mar 2023
FilmHedge is a fintech platform that provides private credit and financing solutions to qualified film and TV producers, offering up to $10M per production. The company uses data to track production financials, interest rates, and the creditworthiness of producers and production companies. Founded in 2020 and led by CEO Jon Gosier, FilmHedge is based in Atlanta, GA. In the prior year the firm allocated more than $100M to over 20 productions, including scripted series, docuseries and feature films, netting more than $13M in returns. The company intends to use new capital to expand its product and marketing teams and hire for key open roles. Core offerings combine private credit products with data-driven underwriting for the film and television sector. FilmHedge builds lending software and financing products tailored to film and television production companies. The platform offers fixed-interest loans up to $1 million and lines of credit up to $5 million. The company spent the prior year in stealth building the product and has launched a live site where production companies can apply for loans. FilmHedge was founded by Jon Gosier, Janelle Alexander, and Mickey Vetter; Gosier serves as CEO. The startup raised $2 million to support growth and plans to use the capital to triple its team. Its product targets the inefficiencies in media financing that force producers to rely on personal networks for funding.
