  TuringSense is a Santa Clara, CA-based developer of intelligent wearables technology sold under the PIVOT brand. Its platform captures 3D biomechanical data and creates a motion library of reference motions to describe optimal movement. PIVOT devices combine biomechanics, sensors and AI to track the full range of body movement and make live recommendations to improve performance. The company’s first consumer product, PIVOT Tennis, is expected to be available for general sale in Q3, and a partner platform for building applications on PIVOT technology will be commercially available in Q2. TuringSense announced a $3.0M pre-Series A round and has raised $6.0M to date. Key intellectual property highlighted by the company includes improved latency and reliability of wireless body-position transfer, reduced bandwidth/power/cost of data transfer, kinematic modeling to minimize sensors, support for multiple reference motions per activity, and a scalable cloud framework to support millions of users in real time. TuringSense is developing wearable technologies that combine biomechanics, sensors and artificial intelligence to help athletes learn complex movements and avoid injuries. Its first product, PIVOT, is a wearable technology designed to improve tennis playing and training. The company plans future products for additional sports such as golf and swimming and to adapt the platform for markets including physical therapy, insurance compliance, rehabilitation, posture correction, and virtual/augmented reality and gaming. TuringSense completed a $3M seed funding round to support expansion. The funds will be used to expand R&D, marketing and sales in support of PIVOT's launch and broader product development. The founding team includes CEO Limin He, VP of Product and Marketing Chris Lim (aka Taufik Arifin), and CTO/VP of R&D Dr. Joseph Chamdani, who holds 46 US patents.
