4th Office is a London-based company that aims to free businesses from email overload via a cloud workspace combining communication, task and document management tools. The platform targets tasking, document versioning and review to reduce fragmentation of digital IP and improve worker productivity. It offers a free entry-level tier and two low-cost business and enterprise plans; more than 15,000 people are already starting their day on the platform. The company raised a second funding round of £2.3 million led by RSG Capital and Ben White, with participation from existing investor Notion Capital. Management said the funds would be used to build traction through social media and word-of-mouth and to expand its product development team while incorporating customer and partner feedback. The startup recently rebranded from BCSocial and relaunched its interface to customer approval. An update in May 2023 indicates the startup appears to be no longer in business under its website and the original link was deactivated.
