Acatus provides a digital debt capital markets (DCM) platform that converts loans and other illiquid assets into fungible securities eligible for custody as individual securitizations and places them directly on the capital market as bonds. The platform enables new business for banks and offers transparent investment options tailored to the risk-return profiles of institutional investors such as pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and banks. Société Générale Germany and Luxembourg are integrated into the platform structure as partners for securities settlement, while JFD Bank provides the liability umbrella. Led by CEO Dr. Marie Louise Seelig and COO Dr. Daniel Wigbers, the digital DCM platform has been live since October 2018. Acatus completed a €5.5m Series A and intends to use the funds to continue expanding its operations and business reach. The company’s product and partnerships position it to channel illiquid assets into capital markets infrastructure for institutional investors.
