Accredify builds technology to create, distribute and oversee tamper-proof verifiable credentials and digital identities. The company focuses on verifiable credential solutions for multiple industry verticals, including education, healthcare, corporate services, and defence. As part of its product roadmap, Accredify plans global expansion of its verifiable technology to rebuild digital trust and support adoption of verifiable data and identities. The company announced a Series A extension led by Okta Ventures, and will integrate Okta’s SSO and MFA into its product to benefit customers. Accredify’s fundraising follows a $7 million financing in April 2023 led by iGlobe Partners and SIG Venture Capital with participation from Pavilion Capital and Qualgro. No operating metrics (revenue/users) were disclosed in the announcement. Accredify builds blockchain-based document verification and verifiable-credential infrastructure, primarily using Ethereum to create smart wallets, manage keys, and deliver data via dashboards and APIs. Co-founded by Quah Zheng Wei in 2019, the company began in education to prevent fake degrees and expanded into corporate registries and healthcare. It has processed 12 million verifications on 2 million issued documents and served 600 users. During the pandemic Accredify worked with Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower and Ministry of Health to verify COVID-19 records, and it collaborated with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority to issue verifiable business profiles. The company has offices in Singapore and Australia, plans to double down on its Australian presence through hiring, and is exploring pilot programs with government entities in Japan. Accredify’s commercial focus emphasizes scalable, production-ready deployments beyond pilots and proofs of concept.
