Agata S.p.A. owns Prestiamoci, an Italian peer-to-peer lending platform. The company intends to use the €2m to enhance its team and platform and to grow operations in the Italian market. Led by Daniele Loro, Prestiamoci was sold to TrustBuddy International AB in November 2014 for approximately €5.3m, but that acquisition was interrupted in June 2015 and TrustBuddy declared bankruptcy in October 2015. The investment was made as part of Prestiamoci’s relaunch and growth plans. Agata-owned PituPay received a licence as a Payment Institute from Banca d'Italia to manage financial flows without support from external banks and credit institutions.
