Agile Space Industries
820 Airport Rd, Durango, CO, 81303, United States
Overview
Founded in 2009 in Durango by Daudi Barnes, Agile Space Industries builds high-performance chemical propulsion systems, using metal additive manufacturing and extensive in-house test facilities. The company supports a broad spectrum of commercial, civil, and national security space missions with its rocket engines and related hardware. In 2023, Agile expanded its Durango-La Plata County Airport footprint to 40,000 square feet and plans further growth in Colorado and Oklahoma. Revenue has more than tripled in the past three years, rising from about $8 million in 2022 to $28 million projected for 2026, and the business has grown over 70% annually since 2020. With the new capital, management intends to scale from developing two to three engines per year to six or more and boost tank and engine delivery capacity nearly tenfold. The company positions itself as a critical domestic supplier at a time when U.S. demand for chemical propulsion is rising.
