Caruso Ventures
5025 Pearl Parkway, Boulder, CO, 80301, United States
Overview
Caruso Ventures invests in tech-enabled companies led by highly effective CEOs. We use our deep scale up experience to help the next generation of tech leaders achieve their visions. Caruso Ventures sets up Special Purpose Vehicles (“SPV”) for our investments, which allows for additional investors to participate in select investments. Our typical initial investment is $500k to $1 million at the early revenue ramp stage, with the propensity to follow on. We are industry agnostic and we will lead or follow. Our investment focus is almost exclusively Colorado.

- Agile Space Industries
Led · Series A · Feb 2026
Founded in 2009 in Durango by Daudi Barnes, Agile Space Industries builds high-performance chemical propulsion systems, using metal additive manufacturing and extensive in-house test facilities. The company supports a broad spectrum of commercial, civil, and national security space missions with its rocket engines and related hardware. In 2023, Agile expanded its Durango-La Plata County Airport footprint to 40,000 square feet and plans further growth in Colorado and Oklahoma. Revenue has more than tripled in the past three years, rising from about $8 million in 2022 to $28 million projected for 2026, and the business has grown over 70% annually since 2020. With the new capital, management intends to scale from developing two to three engines per year to six or more and boost tank and engine delivery capacity nearly tenfold. The company positions itself as a critical domestic supplier at a time when U.S. demand for chemical propulsion is rising.
- Bifrost Electronics
Led · Seed · Jul 2025
Bifrost Electronics builds next-generation quantum readout hardware centered on a new class of magnetically insensitive, scalable electro-optic quantum amplifiers designed to improve footprint, reliability, noise performance, and cost. Its amplifiers support superconducting qubits, spin qubits, and other experimental modalities and are intended for seamless integration into existing quantum stacks. The company positions itself as the only U.S. commercial producer of quantum-limited readout components and the world's only producer of scalable, magnetically insensitive electro-optic amplifiers. Founded by alumni of the Colorado School of Mines and William & Mary, Bifrost is headquartered at the Elevate Quantum campus in Arvada, Colorado and emphasizes U.S. manufacturing. Bifrost is actively collaborating with industry partners including Form Factor, Rigetti Computing, and Maybell Quantum Industries to tailor systems for commercial deployments. The company plans to use new capital to expand its team, scale manufacturing, and continue partnerships with key ecosystem stakeholders.
- Infleqtion
Participated · Series C · Jun 2025
Infleqtion builds a diversified portfolio of quantum technologies, including neutral-atom quantum computers, quantum optical clocks, RF receivers, inertial sensors, and the Superstaq quantum software platform. Its hardware and software are already in use by customers such as the U.S. Department of War, NASA, the U.K. government, and partners like NVIDIA. The company is expanding its government and commercial engagements, exemplified by multiple ARPA-E contracts aimed at tackling energy-related challenges. Under the new QC3 award, Infleqtion will employ its neutral-atom platform and a proprietary algorithm to search for novel high-temperature superconductors that could enable lossless power transmission. Parallel work under the ENCODE program applies quantum-enhanced methods to optimize the energy grid. Together, these projects position Infleqtion at the forefront of quantum applications in chemistry, materials science, and energy infrastructure. Although the article does not disclose revenue or user counts, the repeated selection for federal contracts highlights growing commercial traction and non-dilutive funding to support R&D.
- Noctal
Led · Seed · Mar 2025
Noctal builds an AI-driven audio engine that automates placement of sound effects and synchronizes them precisely with video actions. The platform offers a diverse, high-quality sound library, intelligent recommendations tailored to visuals, and customizable soundscapes to match project tone. Its toolset adapts to different editing styles so creators retain artistic control while speeding production. Noctal is preparing for a 2025 product launch and is currently collecting users via an open waitlist. The company emphasizes blending machine learning with human creativity to streamline time-consuming production tasks for creators, editors, and studios. Noctal is led by founder and CEO Isaiah Chavous and is based in Los Angeles.
- Maybell Quantum Industries
Participated · Series A · Mar 2024
Maybell Quantum develops cryogenic and RF systems that deliver sub-Kelvin cooling and integrated wiring solutions to enable higher qubit counts and lower error rates. Its platforms target the foundational infrastructure needs of quantum developers, supporting stable and scalable deployments. Customers include leading startups, research institutions, universities, and Fortune 100 companies. The company plans to expand production capacity and accelerate deployments across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Maybell is collaborating with leading quantum developers and research institutions to commercialize its next-generation systems. The recent financing will fund scaling manufacturing, global partnerships, and broader deployments of its systems. Maybell Quantum develops cryogenic platforms — the Fridge and the Big Fridge — intended to offer reliability and usability for quantum researchers and entrepreneurs. The company positions itself as a provider of tools to solve quantum challenges and to make solutions more accessible, reliable, and performant. In 2023 Maybell launched MayQ Labs, expert-managed quantum research spaces in Denver and Copenhagen to accelerate quantum innovation. Led by CEO Corban Tillemann-Dick, the company is expanding its manufacturing capabilities. Maybell raised $25M in a Series A to fund scale-up plans. The company intends to use the proceeds to scale manufacturing and open a new production facility in 2024.
