Overview

AlterEco Pulp develops cellulosic fiber molding technology to produce recyclable and compostable packaging from plant-based fibers (bamboo, hemp) and agricultural by-products (sugarcane bagasse, wheat straw). Founded in 2022 from an idea by the Corazzi family, the company operates a cellulose research center and is registered in the National Registry of Research Companies. It collaborates with several universities and research institutions to advance sustainable packaging products and processes. The company is positioning its technology across sectors including food service, electronics, pharmaceuticals and perfumery. Its industrial plan, 'Back to (H)Earth!', targets a state-of-the-art production facility and an R&D area to build an integrated 'field to pack to field' supply chain. Financially, AlterEco recently closed a €3.5 million Seed round to accelerate production and commercialization efforts.
