Ogyre operates a “fishing for litter” model that partners with more than 130 fishermen across Italy, Indonesia, Brazil and Senegal to remove plastic from oceans and coastlines. The company reached break-even in 2024 with revenue exceeding €2 million and currently employs a 25-person team in Italy. Corporate supporters already include Luna Rossa, Panerai, Feltrinelli, AS Roma and over 200 other partners. With fresh funding, Ogyre plans to expand into additional high-pollution countries, open new ports and strengthen its technology for life-cycle waste tracking. By 2026 it targets an annual collection of 2 million kg of marine litter (about 5 tonnes per day) and a cumulative 20 million kg by 2030. The company also aims to deepen its social impact by advancing sustainable livelihoods for coastal communities engaged in the program.
