Apitope focuses on discovery and development of disease-modifying therapies for autoimmune and allergic diseases using a proprietary platform technology. Its pipeline includes candidates for multiple sclerosis, Graves’ disease, Factor VIII intolerance in Haemophilia A patients and uveitis. The company’s first product candidate is licensed to Merck Serono, and its lead candidate, ATX-F8-117, has received orphan designations in both Europe and the USA. Apitope intends to use the Series B proceeds to progress clinical development of its remaining portfolio. The company is led by CEO Dr Keith Martin and will relocate its UK headquarters to Wales. The financing supports advancement of its clinical programs toward regulatory milestones.
