Optiflux develops an AI, computer vision, and predictive-analytics platform to digitise, objectify, and standardise quality assessment for fresh fruit and vegetables. Its technology is deployed across a broad range of fruit categories including apples, pears, berries, citrus, cherries, and stonefruit. The company says its platform enables more accurate shelf-life prediction, optimized storage strategies, and greater transparency and product valuation across the supply chain. In 2025 Optiflux quintupled its customer base, and its solutions are now used by operators in 16 countries across Europe, North America, and South America. Optiflux plans to use the newly raised funds to accelerate international deployment, continue product development, and expand its commercial presence in key fruit-producing regions.
- Innocens
Participated · Equity · Nov 2025
Innocens is a biotech spin-off from the University of Antwerp building an AI-based Clinical Decision Support System for neonatal intensive care units. The software delivers 24/7 risk predictions to help caregivers detect early signs of infections, sepsis, and other complications in premature or critically ill newborns. With its technology, the company aims to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the workload of NICU staff. The recently secured capital will fund a new clinical validation study and enable Innocens to obtain CE regulatory certification, both prerequisites for broader market entry. Management will also use the money to strengthen the team’s competencies and accelerate the commercial rollout across Europe. Although no operating revenue or user metrics are disclosed, the company completed an initial financing round in 2023 and views the latest capital injection as a bridge to full commercialization.
- Monsana
Participated · Seed · Sep 2025
Monsana develops an AI-powered platform that reads and interprets unstructured medical data to quickly match eligible patients to clinical studies. By automating patient-trial matching, the system tackles enrolment delays that hold up roughly 70 % of trials, cutting costs and ensuring fewer candidates slip through the cracks. Founded in June 2024 by former gynaecologist and Johnson & Johnson clinical-trial expert Dr Valerie Vandeweerd and CTO Simeon Devos, the Belgian startup is grounded in deep medical experience. The platform has already doubled the number of patients identified in participating Belgian hospitals while operating in a fraction of the usual time. Monsana is collaborating with several Belgian hospitals and international pharmaceutical partners and intends to expand to neighbouring countries. Backed by a €500 000 pre-seed round, the company will use the funds to strengthen partnerships with hospitals, CROs and pharma companies while advancing a responsible, trust-first approach to medical AI.
