Aukera designs and sells lab-grown diamond jewellery through company-owned retail stores. Founded in 2023 by Lisa Mukhedkar and Kumar Saurabh, the company has rapidly expanded its retail footprint from 13 stores to 35 stores over the past year. Aukera has entered new markets including Pune, Lucknow, Dehradun and Visakhapatnam while maintaining presence in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi NCR. The company is backed by investors including Peak XV Partners, Fireside Ventures, Sparrow Capital, Prath Ventures and Alteria Capital. Its recent fundraising activity includes a $15 million equity round led by Peak XV Partners and the current Rs 90 crore round led by Alteria Capital. Aukera plans to use the fresh capital to grow its store network, bolster omnichannel operations, and invest in product development and talent.
