Beroomers operates a marketplace that enables students to find and book university flats or rooms in other cities for defined periods. The platform includes communication tools for users to share experiences and get to know flatmates. Landlords can upload and list their rooms or flats for free. Co-founded in July 2013 by Sunil Mahtani and Guillermo Ruiz, the company is based in Valencia, Spain. Beroomers intends to use the €200K seed funding to expand nationwide across Spain, continue platform development and add new features. The seed round was backed by a mix of angels and institutional backers including François Derbaix, Iker Marcaide, Allen Peeters, Plug and Play and Bankinter Capital Riesgo.
