Beta Bugs Limited develops advanced Black Soldier Fly (BSF) genetics, with its lead product named Hiper-Fly. Independent trials in early 2026 reportedly showed Hiper-Fly’s superiority versus industry benchmarks. In August 2026 the company signed an MOU with FreezeM to develop Hiper-Fly as a suspended neonate product to enable supply of improved genetics across Europe. Beta Bugs raised £800,000 from existing investors to fund milestones aimed at achieving first sales of Hiper-Fly in early 2027. The company appointed Dr Alan Tinch as CEO; leadership cited his experience commercialising advanced genetics in other species as important for building a profitable business.
