- Myriad Wind
Led · Seed · Dec 2025
Myriad Wind Energy Systems has created a crane-free wind energy platform that mounts multiple small rotors in a modular framework, removing the need for heavy lifting equipment and costly access roads. This design lowers capital costs, shortens installation downtime and makes small-scale wind viable where conventional turbines struggle. Founded in 2021 and based in Stirling, the company holds two granted patents and has secured several letters of intent from prospective customers. Management is led by CEO Adam Harris alongside CTO Paul Pirrie and COO Peter Taylor. A 50 kW prototype is planned for installation in 2026, after which Myriad intends to run commercial pilots and launch the product broadly. With fresh funding, the firm will expand its engineering and commercial teams and establish manufacturing and supply-chain partnerships. Myriad positions its technology as a year-round complement to solar power, particularly for rural businesses facing high winter energy costs.

- Glen Clova Scientific
Participated · Seed · Apr 2024
Glen Clova Scientific (GCS) is developing a virus-like particle (VLP) technology platform that underpins a pipeline of biologic drug candidates for chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. The company has three initial preclinical assets: GCS001 for senile pruritus, GCS002 for atopic dermatitis and GCS003 for eczema and asthma. GCS says its VLP platform can deliver enhanced performance and a simpler, more cost-effective manufacturing process compared with existing biologic drugs. The firm plans to advance preclinical development of these three assets and to exploit its platform in several non-pharmaceutical markets through partnerships. GCS was founded in 2022 as a spin-out from the University of Dundee. The recent financing provides capital to progress the pipeline and expand the proprietary technology platform.
