Overview
BYBORRE develops tools and services to create more responsible, recyclable and design-forward textiles, including BYBORRE Create and BYBORRE Textiles. Its Textile Development Kit and ready-to-order library let designers and brands design advanced (3D) knitted fabrics and access sustainable material packages. The company combines aesthetics, functionality, technology and material research to improve the textile creation cycle and production processes worldwide. BYBORRE has strategic partnerships with industry players such as The Woolmark Company, Mayer & Cie, Santoni, Avery Dennison and Indorama, and with training institutes including Parsons and the Fashion Institute of Technology. The studio intends to expand its partner network and commercial footprint while enabling brands to scale sustainable textile production. It will use new capital to accelerate international growth and further develop its platform, BYBORRE Create, and BYBORRE Textiles. BYBORRE develops an on-demand Textile Development Kit (TDK) and a platform that gives designers access to sustainable building blocks, industry innovations and creative tools. The company operates with an open-source mentality, enabling brands and creators to produce bespoke textiles using existing production partner capacity. BYBORRE positions itself as a service to help brands twist textiles into their own aesthetic while reducing waste and improving production processes. It partners with industry suppliers such as GORE‑TEX, The Woolmark Company, Santoni and Mayer & Cie, and serves brands including adidas, BMW, Rapha, Descente, Kapital, Natuzzi and MINI. BYBORRE plans to use new funding to accelerate the TDK and expand its global on-demand production network.
