C12 Quantum Electronics

26 Rue des Fossés Saint-Jacques, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75005, France

Overview

C12 Quantum Electronics is a French deep-tech company developing quantum processors based on spin qubits embedded in carbon nanotubes on semiconductor chips, a technology spun out of research at the CNRS and the École normale supérieure. By focusing on this differentiating architecture, the team aims to overcome the sector’s key hurdle: producing reproducible, reliable chips at scale. The company is now executing the 24-month QARTIQ program to industrialize its processors and prepare integration with high-performance computing and cloud environments. C12 already collaborates with Air Liquide on chemical reaction simulations, Thales on defense radar applications, and Dassault Aviation on aerospace multiphysics modeling to validate near-term use-cases. Financially, the startup secured an €13.9 million public innovation grant under the France 2030 plan and previously raised €18 million in equity from BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, 360 Capital, and Varsity. This blended financing positions C12 to transition from laboratory prototypes to factory-grade production while maintaining a capital-efficient approach. The firm sees industrial adoption of its hardware as the next critical milestone for European quantum competitiveness.
