Cinchy
4th Floor, 325 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2Y1, Canada
Overview
Cinchy offers a network-based platform that decouples data from applications and silos, enabling organizations to connect core systems, SaaS apps and spreadsheets without centrally hosting the data. The platform handles data backup, versioning and engagement tracking and lets admins and authorized users view, query, edit and build data models with granular access controls. Cinchy uses the platform internally for self-serve data discovery and change management, with version- and access-control features. The company has gained traction in financial services, with adopters including TD Bank, National Bank and Natixis, and it recently launched a credit union edition. Cinchy plans to use new capital to scale outreach and continue investing in its core technology. The company was co-founded in 2017, is based in Toronto, has just over 50 employees and is currently hiring. Cinchy provides an Autonomous Data Fabric that manages data as a network, freeing individual applications from the complexities of managing and connecting data. The platform is positioned as an alternative to decades-old integration approaches such as ETLs and APIs and is used by global banks, telcos, public sector agencies, and healthcare providers. Cinchy says customers can cut IT delivery costs in half and accelerate digital transformation by unlocking data network effects. The company highlighted rapid deployments, citing a COVID-19 relief program moved from concept to live production in one week. To meet growing demand it is expanding its partner ecosystem, with partners such as Capco supporting financial services adoption. Financially, Cinchy recently closed a $10M Series A to support this growth.
