Overview

DeepCure develops novel small-molecule therapeutics using a generative AI and physics-based engine coupled with an automated chemistry synthesis platform. Its engine maps potential interaction sites on protein surfaces and designs novel, synthesizable molecules with lead-like properties. The automated synthesis platform increases the speed, number, and diversity of molecules that are tested. Founded by researchers at MIT and based in Boston, DeepCure brings together engineers, chemists, and biologists to tackle challenging targets in disease biology. Proceeds from the recent financing will be used to further develop its technology and to advance its immunology and inflammation pipeline toward clinical trials. DeepCure has raised more than $72 million in financing since its inception. DeepCure develops novel small-molecule therapeutics using the world’s largest AI drug discovery engine coupled with an automated robotic wet lab. The company is advancing several preclinical candidates across traditionally “undruggable” classes, including polypharmacology programs and protein–protein interactions, and tackling previously “impossible” specificity challenges. Its platform scans a proprietary molecular database with in-house AI property models to expand the effective search space and shorten timelines to high-quality candidates. Proceeds from the recent financing will fund five additional oncology programs and the development of an automated robotic wet lab to realize end-to-end AI design, synthesis, and testing. DeepCure plans to double its drug-discovery headcount next year and open two new sites in Greece and Israel. The company is based in Boston and has raised a total of $47 million to date.
