Overview
Founded in 2018 as a spin-out from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Delox leverages years of research in chemistry, biochemistry and materials science to tackle microbial contamination and antifungal challenges. Its core product, DeloxHP, is a patented dry hydrogen peroxide formulation that enables high-performance, human-safe biodecontamination while reducing time, cost and reliance on harmful agents. The company is also developing Delox Air, an air-borne biodecontamination solution designed for continuous use in occupied spaces. With its technology, Delox targets critical issues such as antimicrobial resistance and hospital-acquired infections across health, pharma and scientific research sectors. The firm plans to scale production capacity and obtain European (ECHA) and U.S. (EPA) certifications to enter additional regulated markets in Europe and the United States. Financially, Delox has just secured a €1.6 million Series A round to fund certification processes, production scale-up and continued R&D.
