DriveU.auto is a LiveU spinout that builds a connectivity platform tailored for teleoperations of autonomous vehicles. The platform combines cellular bonding technology, 4K video encoding and advanced algorithms to adapt to changing networks and reduce latency, jitter and packet loss. The company says its “secret sauce” is the fusion of dynamic encoding and cellular network bonding to meet demanding AV use cases such as robotaxis, self-driving trucks and delivery drones. DriveU.auto demonstrated its platform on public roads in Europe, Israel, Japan and the United States and is running tests with delivery and robotaxi platforms, autonomous trucking developers and Tier 1 suppliers. It spun out as an independent company late last year from LiveU’s CTO office and retains some shareholders with stakes in LiveU. DriveU.auto came out of stealth with $4 million in new funding and has appointed Alon Podhurst, formerly VP of sales at Cognata, as CEO.
