- Loora
Participated · Seed · Jun 2023
Loora offers an iOS app that has users chat with a conversational AI which gives feedback on grammar, pronunciation and accent and provides translations when users get stuck. The app personalizes conversations using a proficiency score and offers scenario-based topics ranging from business and tech to interviews and presentations. Founded by Roy Mor and Yonti Levin, Loora says it trains and optimizes its models using only its own data and a bespoke training and evaluation system. The company charges $15 per month or $120 per year, has about 15,000 app users, and reported 8x growth in annual recurring revenue in 2023. Loora currently has 14 employees and plans to expand to 25 by the end of 2024 while developing an Android app and deepening its core AI and conversational capabilities. It also intends to launch an enterprise service for employers, universities and institutions and is targeting a large English-learning market estimated at over $70 billion by 2030 (Research and Markets). Loora is a generative AI iOS assistant focused on voice-based, on-the-fly conversational English practice. The app converses with users like a human tutor and provides feedback on pronunciation, prosody, fluency and grammar by combining speech-to-text with analysis of the speech signal. Loora initially built its own large language models in 2020 but now leverages multiple third-party LLMs for different tasks while training those models on its own data. The company is focused on spoken English for now, plans an upcoming reading module to anchor discussions, and is not offering writing instruction at present. Loora reports having “thousands” of paying customers (consumers and prosumers) and uses those interactions to expand its knowledge base. The product positions itself between casual language apps and expensive human tutors by offering affordable one-to-one conversational practice via generative AI.
- Voyantis
Participated · Seed · Jul 2022
Voyantis applies AI to thousands of data points to predict a customer’s future propensity and lifetime value, and feeds those predictions as signals into ad networks and marketing automation platforms. The platform generates recommendations and targeted actions (for example, when to offer an upsell) and stores only anonymous usage data to protect privacy. Voyantis serves commercial enterprises across industries including fintech, mobile apps, direct-to-consumer, and product-led growth, and counts MoneyLion as a customer. The company competes with firms such as DataScience, Pecan, Ocurate, and Black Crow AI. Voyantis says it has tripled its annual recurring revenue for two consecutive years, signaling strong growth momentum. The startup plans to use new funding for product R&D and to expand its roughly 70-person Tel Aviv-based team. Voyantis offers an AI-driven marketing optimization platform that analyzes a company’s internal business data to surface customer buying preferences and prediction-based insights for ad campaigns. The platform provides integrations with popular advertising and marketing automation tools so businesses can act on predictions and incorporate insights into campaigns. Voyantis says customers have realized an average 47% increase in return on advertising spend using its platform. The product targets retailers and other companies scaling online customer acquisition and retention by identifying high-value and high-retention customers. The startup also positions itself to ease enterprise data science teams' workloads by automating complex data analysis and prediction tasks. Voyantis launched from stealth with $19 million in funding and is promoting adoption through predictive-driven campaign automation and platform integrations.
- DriveU.auto
Participated · Equity · Jun 2020

The platform combines cellular bonding technology, 4K video encoding and advanced algorithms to adapt to changing networks and reduce latency, jitter and packet loss. The company says its “secret sauce” is the fusion of dynamic encoding and cellular network bonding to meet demanding AV use cases such as robotaxis, self-driving trucks and delivery drones. DriveU.auto demonstrated its platform on public roads in Europe, Israel, Japan and the United States and is running tests with delivery and robotaxi platforms, autonomous trucking developers and Tier 1 suppliers. It spun out as an independent company late last year from LiveU’s CTO office and retains some shareholders with stakes in LiveU. DriveU.auto came out of stealth with $4 million in new funding and has appointed Alon Podhurst, formerly VP of sales at Cognata, as CEO.
