EarlyDay operates a two-sided marketplace where schools post early-childhood job openings and educators can apply or create profiles for employers to discover. The platform aims to serve as a go-to repository for educator resumes and to surface transparent salary and compensation information. Founders Emma Harris and Melissa Tran built the product to address staffing, retention, and regulatory challenges that make opening and running classrooms costly and slow. EarlyDay emphasizes reducing schools’ dependence on staffing agencies, which can charge up to three times market rates. The company is fully distributed with a nine-person team and has launched in New York while being based in Miami.
